Assessment

 At Solas Ort, we offer a comprehensive range of assessments. These include evaluations for specific learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia), intellectual disabilities, We also provide initial checklists to determine if further assessment in any area of neurodevelopmental difficulties is warranted. Additionally, we offer thorough assessments for neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD.

Even after these comprehensive assessments, there may be follow-up evaluations that we recommend. If we can conduct these assessments in our clinic, we will inform you. However, if there is a Health Service Executive (HSE) service that can provide this assessment for free, we will also advise you of this. In fact, if at any time there is a free public health service available, we will always notify you, provided we are aware of it.

we tailor assessments on each person’s individual needs, however, typical assessments will consist of:  

• Clinical Interview and collateral interviews (e.g. teacher/partner etc)
• Cognitive (IQ) Assessment
• Attainment testing
• Review of existing reports
• Full written report
• Feedback appointment (online or in-person)
